Hallelujah (Cohen/Arr. Brymer) SATB divisi – Hal Leonard 00126491

Beautiful a cappella arrangement. Knowing the story behind Cohen’s “Hallelujah” brings new meaning to the word.  This piece could work with many themes.

Glory “from Selma” (Stephens/Rogers) TTBB divisi with soloist – Hal Leonard 35031147

Brilliant arrangement!  Captures the essence of the civil rights struggle and is wonderfully crafted.

I’ll Be on My Way (Shawn Kirchner) SATB with soloist – ShawnKirchner.com

This has to be the most joyful song about moving out of this life to the next.  It has a melody that you will keep singing for days after you’ve sung it.

America the Beautiful (Ward/Bates/Arr Leavitt) SATB – Hal Leonard 08703333

Patriotic pieces often sound smarmy but this arrangement has dignity and strength.

For the Immigrants (Get to Know Me) Fred & Gloria Bogert SATB – Sheet Music Plus– digital download

The message is in the poetry and the tune carry it well.  You walk in the shoes of an immigrant with new understanding which binds us together.

Find the Cost of Freedom (Stills/Arr. Page) TTBB a cappella – Hal Leonard 08201987

Maybe you remember when Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young sang this piece.  There is more to the poem than what they offered.  This arrangement stays true to the harmonies they shared and has a powerful message.

Stand Up by Echeumuna-Erivo and Campbell. Arr. by Dilworth 3-Part SAB with soloist – Hal Leonard 00371375

Rollo Dilworth’s setting of this powerful song from the Harriet Tubman film is tremendous.  The vocalizations that accompany the melody are inspired.

Let the River Run (Simon/Arr. Hella Johnson) SSAA with drum – Hal Leonard 00274198

This arrangement brings energy and movement to this great song and is simply fun to sing.

We Shall Overcome (Arr. Gibson) SATB a cappella with soloist – Hal Leonard 08202672

“Outstanding” is the word that best describes this arrangement.  Beautiful and touching writing.
